A good chunk of the family....about 30+ of us, headed out to Cali for spring break! It is always so much fun to spend time with our extended family (but we really missed the 20+ that were not able to join us). We started off the trip the right way.....girl's lunch and shopping! We had not found a time to do a birthday lunch for Stacy and Cherie, so we went to Ruby's in Carlsbad. Love these Ladies! (Missed you Tasha, Kiarah, Lety and Rae!)
We spent a fun day at Knott's Berry Farm. The kids had a blast. Great weather, small crowds and cousins - what more could you want?
Notice Mack clinging to Sky for dear life? He was so scared of the little car ride, they actually stopped it mid turn so Sky could take him off!
He decided hanging out on the bench was more his speed!
We met up with the Frieden's for a few minutes...
Then they were off to the roller coasters and we were off to the...uh....carousel! Someday my little ones will grow up and I'll be able to enjoy the coasters, with them, but for now......
......I'm just enjoying their excited little faces! (I know I'll miss these days then.)
We went to see WICKED on St. Patrick's Day! (Mom had given everyone tickets for Christmas!) It also happened to be the day BYU basketball had a big tournament game. Thankfully Rainforest Cafe took care of us and placed us smack in front of a big screen TV! The guys were pacified, the kids were entertained by the fun animals and balloons, the food was great, and the theater was in walking distance! Hooray! This is one of my favorite pics of the trip. Skyler was so intent on the BYU game, I couldn't even get his attention for a picture - classic Skyler!
The pre-show back rub chain!
Then on to see WICKED!!! This was my 5th time seeing it, but it never gets old. It was so fun to see how much the kids loved it - they were completely mesmerized the whole time! What a wonderful evening (and trip)! Thanks so much Grandma!
