Family Pictures!

I thought I'd better update my blog with our most recent family pictures. (Click on the picture above to see the whole album). My sister Tasha and her husband Tim always do such an awesome job! How lucky we are to have them here. Thanks once again for putting up with us and managing to turn our troop of monkeys into a normal, presentable family in pictures! That's quite a task. You two are the best (really)!
Actually, the biggest monkey they had to deal with was Skyler - and we have pictures to prove it....
We did finally manage to rein Skyler in long enough to get some good shots. :)

 Thanks again Tasha and Tim!

Cort's 12!!!

My Corty turned 12 on the 19th! I find it hard to believe how quickly he is growing up right before my eyes. He is growing into a great young man and I am very proud of him. He will now be joining his brother Gavin in the Young Men's program! He also received the Priesthood on Sunday. What a great day! He looked awfully handsome in his new suit (picture to come).

On the morning of his birthday we celebrated by having his favorite breakfast...German Pancakes.

Some of the Asay family were staying with us that weekend while Isaac competed in a soccer tournament.  It was so fun to have them here! Cort and Isaac were inseparable as toddlers at Stanford.

That night we had Cort's cake. Grandma, Addie, Uncle Josh, and Cort's friend Josh were all on hand for the festivities! (I love that it's Grandma giving Taly the bunny ears!)
Mack had a little too much fun with his cake!
Happy Birthday Cort! We love you!

Valentines!

We had a great Valentines Day this year!  The kids woke up to a healthy, well-rounded breakfast of....

GIANT CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES!  (I did make them eat their eggs first!)

Skyler surprised me at lunch with some beautiful roses!

We ended the day by taking advantage of the gorgeous weather and had a family picnic at a fun park in town!
I love everyone of my darling Valentine's! On days like this, I wish I could freeze time. It goes by far too fast....

Girls Night Out

We had a fun GNO-game night the other evening. It's always refreshing to get out and spend some time with wonderful ladies like these! We spent the evening playing Cranium, what a riot! We played in my mom's basement so there were no kids to wake up (good thing too, it got pretty loud!) Thanks Allison for the pics! Thanks Shally for pulling it together! Thanks ladies for a great evening!

Love these kids....

Sky and I went out for the evening and left the older kids in charge. The younger ones love it because the evening tends to be a lot more 'fun' when we're not around....hmmm. When we returned home, I was the first to come through the door.  This is what greeted me.
They quickly changed position before Skyler came in. He was dealing with something outside, so they had to hold it for awhile. I could only laugh!
Love these 'cool' kids! How lucky we are to have them.

Phantom ...

So, I debated putting up this post because it meant I had to include the picture with it!  I finally realized...WHO CARES!
Anyway, a little over a week ago my sister Trina and I drove down to Vegas for one night to join my Mom and Aunt Mary Lou who were there at the Furniture Market for a few days.  We went to a yummy dinner and then went to see The Phantom of the Opera!  We had a blast!  As we were leaving we asked a gentleman to take our picture.  So, as I was checking the photo to make sure it turned out I suddenly realized that I had gone the entire day WITH NO MAKE-UP ON!!!  I was absolutely horrified....for about 5 whole seconds - then I just had to laugh!  Now, I realize that may seem a silly thing to get worked up about but you have to realize that I am not a 'natural beauty' like many people I know.  Even with make-up on I am barely passable.  Without it I am pasty and pale....and could probably rival the maskless Phantom himself! Okay, maybe not that bad, but seriously - why didn't someone tell me!  Oh well - at least everyone else in the pic turned out great!  We did have a wonderful time that night and the next day at the Furniture Mart (Aunt Tracy joined us the next morning for some fun shopping!). Love having a little girls getaway!
