Trey and Gavin both celebrated birthdays this summer! When our kids have an even # birthday we have a family party, and when they have an odd # birthday they get the choice of a birthday party or taking the money I would have spent on the party! Trey (being 7) chose the party in a heartbeat. Gavin had a tougher time deciding. He hasn't had a party since he turned 9! However, since he just happened to be turning 13 on Friday the 13th (how unlikely is that?), we decided he should celebrate!

Trey had a great time and we survived 20+ kids on a sugar high!
GAVIN'S LUCKY 13!
What luck to have your 13th birthday on Friday the 13th! Imagine 21 boys ages 11-14 all together in one pool!
What were we thinking? Actually it was a great party! We were very lucky no one got hurt with all the crazy games these boys played. There was plenty of food (with this many boys, I was surprised we had leftovers), and plenty of noise - I'm sure the whole neighborhood could hear these guys! Gavin is very lucky to have so many great boys his age in the neighborhood!
